HAWAII EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Aloha and welcome to our site. The State of Hawaii does not accept hours of education in these subjects: * Reiki * Polarity * other types of energy work. Educational hours for Hawaii Massage Schools and Training centers must be provided in this exact format (as per Hawaii Massage licensing regulations): LEVEL 1 COURSE: 150 total hrs. in this format: 50 hrs. of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology 100 hrs. of hands on demonstration Make sure courses offered include topics and hours as listed below: UPPER DIVISION COURSES: 420 total hrs. in this format: 70 hrs. of "Clinical Operations" (office procedures, record keeping, clerical skills etc.) 40 hrs. of "Advanced Training" (actual classes/courses above Level 1 course education) 310 hrs. of "Hands on massage" (classroom hands on education, and possibly clinic hours) 570 TOTAL HRS. REQUIRED (Level 1 and Upper Division hours combined) You will not qualify to take your State board exam unless your education fits the above format.
